A DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION ON 2 CHRONICLES 3:17

Then he set up the pillars at the entrance to the temple: He set up the pillar on the right and named it Jakin; and he set up the pillar on the left and named it Boaz.
- 2 Chronicles 3:17 NIV
2 Chronicles 3:17 mentions the two pillars at the entrance of the temple: Jakin, meaning “He will establish,” and Boaz, meaning “In Him is strength.”
As I’ve been reading about Solomon building the temple, I’m reminded that building the house of God takes time. The temple wasn’t built overnight it took years, skilled people, sacrifice, and a process. In the same way, God often works slowly in us. We live in a culture that wants instant results, but maturity, faithfulness, and obedience are usually formed over time.
The two pillars at the entrance are such a powerful reminder: God is the one who establishes, and He is the source of our strength. We can’t bypass His process and still expect lasting fruit.
TODAY REMEMBER
He will establish what he started
In Him is strength you need for every season
stay faithful in the process - He is working even if you don't see it
